30. Fast Fact: Star Wars: A New Hope was a hit with fans as well as the Academy of Motion Pictures. In fact, Star Wars won six Oscars including: Best Art Decoration/Set Decoration, Best Costume Design, Best Effects/Visual Effects, Best Film Editing, Best Sound and Special Achievement Academy Award for Sound Effects Creation. The only actor to receive an Academy Award nomination was Sir Alec Guinness for his role as Obi Wan. George Lucas was also nominated for Best Director and Best Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen.

They’re also known as the Bespin Security Guard, and you’ll recognize them in their dark blue suits and helmets.
