47. Quick: who “talked” for Chewbacca? Answer: A brown bear! The sound crew found the perfect brown bear at the San Diego Zoo and began recording his “talk.” They recorded him in all of his moods: happy and sad, hungry and full. According to Chewbacca actor Peter Meyhew, some of Chewbacca’s sounds were also that of a dog. However, the majority of Chewbacca’s lines are courtesy of a brown bear in Southern California.
51. Did You Know: George Lucas’ Stormtroopers weren’t the first Storm Troopers in history? Hitler’s Nazi henchmen were also known as the Storm Troopers. In fact, if you look carefully at the Imperial officers’ uniforms, you’ll see similarities to the Nazis’ uniforms. Lucas purposely created the officers this way in order to make them more frightening.
