19. Little Known Fact: The climactic scenes on the Planet Endor in The Return of the Jedi may have turned out very different if early versions of the screenplay were used. Those versions had the Battle of Endor on Chewbacca’s home planet of Kashyyyk. However, because Wookies are so technologically advanced and powerful, Lucas decided to create the adorable, furry Ewoks who fought with spears and intuition.

70. How did George Lucas try to throw the media off track prior to the release of The Return of the Jedi? Answer: Well, according to Lucas, “we called the film 'Revenge of the Jedi' to throw people off. The title was always intended to be 'Return of the Jedi', but we made the film under the code name 'Revenge of the Jedi'. Unfortunately, what happened is Fox started promoting the film before we could tell them not to use the title.” Legend also has it that Revenge of the Jedi would never be acceptable because Jedis are not vengeful and therefore do not seek revenge on those who have wronged them.
