Random Star Wars Facts:

16. Why is Liam Neeson heard but not seen in Episode II: Attack of the Clones? Answer: Liam Neeson was originally scheduled to return in Episodes II and III as Qui Gon Jinn in spirit form. His voice is heard in Episode II: Attack of the Clones during a scene in which Yoda is meditating. Neeson’s appearances were canned after he broke his leg just prior to filming. Otherwise, we would have seen him just as we see Obi Wan in The Empire Strikes Back and The Return of the Jedi: in translucent form.

89. Who is Grand Moff Tarkin? Answer: His name might not ring a bell right away, but Grand Moff Tarkin is the brains behind the Death Star. He’s also the one who, while Vader held Princess Leia back in Star Wars: A New Hope, approved blowing up Leia’s home planet of Alderaan to test the Death Star’s effectiveness. Despite his lofty goals to ensure the Dark Side took control over the galaxy, Grand Moff Tarkin was killed when the Death Star was blown up by Luke Skywalker.
