15. What determines how strong the force is in a person? Answer: In Episode I: The Phantom Menace, Qui Gon explains the concept of midi-chlorians to his apprentice, Anakin. Midi-chlorians are essentially microorganisms, and the more a person has the stronger the force in that person. Those with higher concentrations of midi-chlorians are often able to learn how to control the force, granted they are trained by a Jedi Master. The force is not restricted to the “good side” as young Anakin will soon prove. There is both a good side and a dark side to the force.

68. Did You Know: Lando was almost a clone rather than the suave smuggler turned head of Cloud City? George Lucas had originally considered making Lando one of the sole survivors of a planet of clones. Regardless of what happened to the planet, Lando would have been perceived as its lost leader. However, in the end, Lando became Han’s buddy, a former smuggler and eventually a member of the Rebellion.
