The production budget for The Phantom Menace was a whopping $115 million, more than ten times the budget of the original Star Wars. The Phantom Menace also raked in more than $431 million in box office sales in the United States alone. Worldwide The Phantom Menace grossed more than $924 million dollars, almost a billion dollars!
